With an 11-2 record, the New England Patriots have been on a tear this season, but through this period of joy, they were dealt a massive tragedy involving linebacker Jahlani Tavai. The 29-year-old recently mourned the loss of his unborn daughter, Ka ua, and missed the Week 12 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Addressing this tragic incident, Tavai’s partner, Kalei Mau, shared a post on social media which has since received a lot of support.

The post shared by Tavai’s partner, Kalei Mau, delved into her heartbreaking journey through this difficult period. She then expressed gratitude to those who helped her recover, as she thanked the medical personnel and her Patriots family.
“I am so grateful for my life and my purpose is now more clear than ever,” the caption of the post said. “Been to heaven and back to love on my loved ones a little longer and to live for God and my baby angel Ka ua Tavai. Thank you for all the prayers & Aloha. Thank you to all the incredible doctors & loving nurses at Mass General Hospital that help save my life. Thank you to my New England Patriots family for supporting us every way you could. This is such a special team I’m honored to be a part of. Thank you to my Ohana for staying hopeful, having faith, being strong for me, & never leaving my side. I love you all so very much. I’m home now, healing and still processing, but with a grateful heart.”

Coming back to Jahlani Tavai, the linebacker was back in action for the Patriots against the New York Giants, being named a game captain by head coach Mike Vrabel. New England crushed the Giants in that game, registering a 33-15 victory.
The Pats will look to continue this dominant form against divisional rivals, the Buffalo Bills. When asked about this matchup, head coach Vrabel remained positive and shared how this fixture is important regarding the team’s postseason prep.

Mike Vrabel addresses Week 15 clash against Buffalo Bills
After their bye week, the New England Patriots will be back in action against the Buffalo Bills at Foxborough. The Pats have already defeated the Bills once this season, in a 23-20 victory in October. Placekicker Andres Borregales kicked a go-ahead field goal with 15 seconds remaining in the game. Since that time, New England has stretched its winning streak to 10 straight contests.
Addressing this fixture, Mike Vrabel highlighted how the team is excited to perform and maximize opportunities from this matchup.

“This is a great stage that we put ourselves on, and that’s exciting, but obviously, hopefully, we’ve been able to draw from different opportunities that we’ve had to help us,” Vrabel said. “And so, what we’re focused on is the previous opportunities that can help us this week, and then whatever we’re able to learn from the game on Sunday, going forward to help us the next week.”
