We all recognize Serena Williams with her illustrious single career. But she has also had a significant doubles career as well. In the early 2000s, Serena was very much active playing women’s doubles and mixed doubles as well. And one of her American mixed doubles partners was former World No.10, James Blake, and he recently heaped praise on his former on-court partner.

Referring to their Hopman Cup triumph in 2003, Blake remembered playing with Serena. In an interesting choice of words, Blake poked fun at himself. Back then in 2003, Blake had good long hair, but now he is bald. So much has changed since then, but according to Blake, Serena has remained the greatest player.

“My hair is gone, but Serena is still the greatest.” Blake wrote on Twitter.

Serena’s GOAT status cannot be questioned, and a retirement thought is far-fetched for now. Both the player and her close ones are confident that Serena can make it big again at a Grand Slam.
