The Swiss tennis player, Stan Wawrinka has been dealing with injuries throughout the year and has significant pain in his body. Despite his injuries, the three-time Grand Slam re-entered the top-20 ATP Rankings this season and is contented with his performance on the circuit this year.

With a short timespan od preparation, Stan Wawrinka has managed to deliver decent results in the tour this year which includes his run to the quarterfinals of Slam in New York. “Playing so well with such a short preparation shows that my year was not so terrible. I’m 15th in the annual ranking, after all. It’s a good year,” Wawrinka added.

World Number 17, Stan Wawrinka aspires to participate at Tokyo Olympics Games 2020, but he hasn’t discussed his 2020 schedule with his team. “I would like to play in Tokyo, the desire is there. But I still have to set the tournament calendar in detail with my team,” he added.

The Swiss tennis player, Wawrinka is through to the pre-quarterfinals of Swiss Indoors Basel 2019 with a straight-set victory World Number 45, Pablo Cuevas in the round of 32 of Basel Open.
