Content overload in Fortnite

Fortnite has seen a lot of content updates in recent months. With the length of the seasons decreased, players have noticed an uptick in the updates for the game. The developers have added new cosmetics to the item shop almost every week that players can purchase. Along with that, with recent events like Cosmic Summer, players can also complete challenges to earn these cosmetic rewards.

Other than that, the game has seen a massive amount of collaborations in the past few months with famous media IPs like DC, Marvel, Rick and Morty, Star Wars and many more. Fans have loved playing as their favorite characters in the game. But many of them have also felt that the developers might be straying too far away from the game’s original characters.

Pacing still an issue for players

The game has its fair share of issues in the gameplay department. Players have always complained about the game’s slow pacing, and it hasn’t really changed in a long while. Many lobbies still don’t provide a lot of action, and it has slightly decreased the adrenaline rush that players receive while playing it. However, with constant updates to the title, there hasn’t been a lack of entertainment and fun in Fortnite.

The developers at Epic Games have added new weapons and unvaulted old favorites as well. So fans always have something fresh to try in the game all the time. However, the map changes haven’t been that satisfactory for players as it has been quite minimal. Everyone would love to see new biomes on the Island similar to the snow and desert ones from the older seasons. So, fans would really appreciate if the developers added a drastic change to the map to spice up things.

Fortnite Esports had a rocky start with issues of gameplay lag in the game’s top tournaments. Since then it has improved a lot, and players rarely face issues of gameplay lag during tournaments and Arena. But, they still have some problems that they need to iron out by improving the servers or by adding new ones altogether.

Additionally, the developers have done a great job at differentiating casual and competitive modes in Fortnite. They have separated the non-competitive items away from Arenas to make sure that fans don’t face any issues with it. However, the title still has a lot of toxicity especially in the Esports scene which include a lot of celebrated pro players, and it’s high time for Fortnite to do something about it.
