“I did have ups and downs,” Stefanos Tsitsipas admitted in an interview with SRF sport. “That’s true. My goal was to be as consistent as possible. I wish there were moments that would be more consistent but unfortunately, the things were presented the way they were. I think it’s normal to have these ups and downs but I think I am slowly finding my way through.”

Stefanos Tsitsipas revealed that he is currently taking it easy and trying to stay away from injuries as he is aiming to give his best at the Nitto ATP Finals 2019 in November – where the Greek will make his debut.

The 21-year-old further added: “I am playing well currently and I want to keep playing well. I think it’s all mental and also physical too. So my main focus right now is to take it easy, not get injuries hopefully. I really hope my body stays fine and I get to play Nitto, my last energy, my last breath and give one hundred percent.”

“I think I learned a lot from these lows, more than I did from my highs because I just solve things that didn’t work out for me. I processed them, I took time to think if that’s the way to go, it wasn’t,” Tsitsipas explained.

Stefanos Tsitsipas explicated that everyone makes mistakes but he rights his mistakes by recognizing the things that are not working for him and then sit and think about what he can change. From that point he re-starts.

He concluded: “I think we all mistakes in life, we sometimes pay for them or we are very close to paying for them and it’s good to stop it as soon as possible. I froze things and I sit down and realize okay now what we do we take away this, we move this, we add this. This works better, this works best and we go in from there.”
