World Number six, Stefanos Tsitsipas has signed a deal with the American clothing and equipment manufacturer, New Balance. Before New Balance, the Greek was availing the apparel sponsorship from Adidas. A few days ago, Tsitsipas tweeted, “I really like it when the balance is new. Fearless and Independent.”

PreviouslyAdidas lost their Asian wave of tennis, Naomi Osaka to Nike and now Adidas has lost another top ten tennis player. The directors of New Balance announced, “Stefanos Tsitsipas don’t be too obvious about signing for us. We need to make a big deal out of it when we announce it officially.”

Besides his apparels, Stefanos Tsitsipas plays with Wilson racquets. Towards the end of 2018, he signed his sponsorship deal with the global luxury watch brand, Rolex.

The new era contender, Stefanos Tsitsipas had a disappointing grass season after making a few deep runs on clay. He won just two matches on grass and he was defeated by Italy’s Thomas Fabbiano in a tug-of-war opening round encounter at Wimbledon 2019.

“I was so frustrated knowing already how things are going to be, based on my feelings on the court…I was very mad with myself,” he said after his loss in SW19.

This year the one-hander, Tsitsipas came up with a career-best performance in Grand Slams as he made to the semifinals at the Australian Open 2019 and defeated the Swiss, Roger Federer in the pre-quarterfinals of the Melbourne major.

In 2018, Stefanos Tsitsipas became the youngest player to record four top ten wins in a single event. He defeated Dominic ThiemAlexander ZverevNovak Djokovic and Kevin Anderson and reached the finals in Toronto. In the title match, he lost to Rafael Nadal on his 20th birthday.

This year, the Greek pulled off two titles this year in Marseille and Estoril.
