The sixth seed, Stefanos Tsitsipas is out from the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters 2019 as and the tenth seed, Daniil Medvedev outplayed the Greek star in the pre-quarters of the Monaco Masters. The Russian leads 4-0 in the head to head clashes against the Greek, Tsitsipas.

Medvedev dismantled the World Number eight tennis player, Stefanos Tsitsipas the opening set and as Tsitsipas fumbled his gameplay on the net it gave the Russian his first break at 2-1. While getting accustomed to the clay surface the Australian Open semifinalist dropped the set 6-2.

In the second set, Stefanos Tsitsipas lifted up his game and his performance was ameliorated compared to the first set. He breezed to take a 5-0 lead and allowed Medvedev to acquire just a game. He was serving well in the second set and was dominant with his forehand winners than his backhand strikes. Tsitsipas angled his shots accurately and made the Russian move all over the red dirt which exhausted him to an extent. He sealed the set 6-1 and sent the match into the decider.
