Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic is looking to leave the club this summer with speculation about his future intensifying over the last few days.

Jovetic is poised for a move back to Serie A where he gained recognition playing for Fiorentina. Juventus seem to be interested in making a deal but are locked in a three-way battle with Inter Milan and Roma. Sources claim that Manchester City want at least £16 million for Jovetic to help soften the wounds left by the striker for whom they paid £22 million back in 2013.

Ever since his move to City, Jovetic has been unable to prove himself in the English domestic league and has at times been a mere spectator, with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and recently Wilfried Bony being chosen ahead of him.

Last season’s exclusion from City’s Champions League squad was the final nail in the coffin as he went public expressing his frustration at a lack of game time.

With relations between manager Manuel Pellegrini and the striker clearly not the best, it may be in the best interest of both parties if a deal can soon be worked out.

Roma, who are the latest team to reportedly be interested in him, need a striker after it has emerged that Gervinho will not be playing for them next season.
