Steven Gerrard has been one of the most prolific midfielders for England, and his nation will desperately miss his valuable services both on and off the field.

The English International decided to hang up his boots from international duties following a disappointing World Cup in Brazil. He holds an incredible record, with a tally of an astounding 114 caps and 21 goals for his country

He will surely be a great inspiration and a role model not only for aspiring English footballers, but also for millions of football fanatics around the globe.

His current Liverpool boss, Brendan Rogers, once said in a conference that “Steven Gerrard is someone who has dropped from heaven.”

Steven Gerrard told the FA-

”I have enjoyed every minute of representing my country and it is a sad day for me knowing that I won’t pull on the
England shirt again .”

He also added that “I do look forward to continue my strong relationship with the FA and helping out in any way I can going forward. ”

It was hard to hear Gerrard calling off from his international duty football in a game of glorious uncertainties, so Gerrard fans need to cheer up and wish him luck for his upcoming season for Liverpool because we all believe that he does have a lot of football still left in him.
