“Still the Greatest With Federer and Djokovic”: Comedian Pierre Richard Amazed With Rafael Nadal’s Special Message

World No. 2 Rafael Nadal is one of the true representers of the sport. After enjoying success at such a grand stage, the Spaniard still maintains a humble attitude. It is this approach of his that helped him become the individual he is today. Rafa is looked up to by fans from all over the world, such is his influence. 

Recently, the thirteen-time French Open champion, Rafael Nadal, sent a special message to French comedian Pierre Richard. In the clip, the Spaniard wished the actor well in the future. After seeing the video, Richard was amazed by Rafa’s kind gesture and returned the compliment, which stated, “I am moved, it is still the greatest with Federer and Djokovic, it is especially that I did not expect it.”

Pierre is a keen follower of tennis and has a special liking for Roland Garros in particular. Interestingly, the French Open happens to be Nadal’s most enjoyed tournament of the year, which showcases his French connection. Besides acting, Richard is a director and screenwriter. He has over 50 years of experience in his field. Over the years, Pierre has taken a keen interest in winemaking. 

Coming back to Rafa, he began his season in Melbourne, representing Spain in the ATP Cup. Unfortunately, he couldn’t feature in any of the matches due to an issue he faced with his back. Later, he competed at the Australian Open and lost in the quarterfinal after being two sets up.

He recently pulled out of the Rotterdam Cup 2021 due to the back issue he has been facing over the last month. He is scheduled to play at the Miami Open later in March.
