Andrey Rublev: Net Worth, Salary and Endorsements

Andrey Rublev is considered one of the rising stars of the Next-Gen of tennis. The Russian player is in the top-10 of the ATP Rankings and the 2020 season is the most successful of his career so far. He has seven singles titles and also played nine finals on the ATP Tour.

Rublev was born on October 20th, 1997. His mother, Marina Marenko, is a tennis coach and formerly worked with top WTA star Anna Kournikova. His coach in the early days of his career was Sergey Tarasevich. Rublev is an avid basketball and boxing fan as well.

Rublev’s current coach is Fernando Vicente.

Rublev entered the junior circuit at the age of 13. At the 2014 Australian Open, Rublev reached the quarter-finals. He played the doubles event with Alexander Zverev as his partner.

His first big title came in the juniors’ singles of the 2014 French Open. He defeated Spain’s Jaume Munar in the final.

At the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, Rublev won a bronze medal in singles. He then partnered with another top Russian player, Karen Khachanov, to win the silver medal.

Rublev entered the senior circuit as a 17-year-old. At the 2015 Miami Open, he defeated Pablo Carreno Busta, before defeating the experienced Fernando Verdasco on clay at the Barcelona Open.

At the 2015 Davis Cup, Rublev won the deciding match and helped Russia make a stunning comeback to beat Spain. With that, they entered the World Group Play-offs.

Rublev’s first big title came in 2017. He entered the 2017 Croatia Open as a lucky loser and ended up winning the tournament for his first ATP title. He defeated Fabio Fognini on his way to the finals.

Later that year, Rublev reached the US Open quarter-final with wins over Grigor Dimitrov and David Goffin. He lost to Nadal in the quarter-final. He then made the finals of the Next-gen ATP Finals.

In 2019, at the Western and Southern Open, Rublev earned the biggest win of his career, defeating Roger Federer in straight sets. He defeated two other top-10 players that year. Rublev’s second ATP title came at the 2019 Kremlin Cup.

The 2020 season has been Rublev’s most successful. No one has more titles than Rublev in 2020. The first of his five titles of the season came at the Qatar Open in January. He enjoyed a great run since the resumption of tennis after the break due to the pandemic, winning three titles and reaching the US Open 2020 and French Open 2020 quarter-finals.

He reached the top-10 for the first time and qualified for his first-ever ATP Finals.

In the 2015 season, Rublev matched a record held by Rafael Nadal. He won a match in at least five different tournaments on the ATP Tour before the age of 18, something Nadal did in 2004. It was impressive as it was Rublev’s first-ever season on the ATP Tour.

He won the 2017 Croatia Open as a lucky loser, becoming only the seventh player to do so and the first since 2009.

In 2020, he became the first player since 2004 to win two ATP titles in the first two weeks of the season. No one won more titles than Rublev (5) in the 2020 season.
