They call him 'Funky', a name that Ben Askren got in his college days because of his unorthodox wrestling style. He is one of those MMA fighters, who merged scrambling into wrestling to dominate his opponents. The multiple organization champion, Askren, is currently retired.

He also made a successful debut in UFC against former champion, Robbie Lawler. However, his unbeaten streak ended against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 239. Askren competed one more time against Demian Maia and lost.
