His early life was completely directed towards law. He passed out of Harvard Law School and worked in the United States Department of Justice. However, this changed in 1965 when Bob Arum noticed the opportunity to get into the sport. He started with a bang, representing the most famous fighter at the time, Muhammad Ali.

The current crop of fighters the Arum represents includes the likes of Teofimo Lopez, Vasyl Lomachenko, Terence Crawford, Mikaela Mayer, Naoya Inoue, among others.

However, the charismatic American has also had his fair share of controversies over the years. Most notably with UFC president Dana White. And most recently, his public spat with his own fighter, Terence Crawford.
