Koepka started practicing at the Okeeheelee Golf Course in West Palm Beach, which is close to where he was born. After receiving multiple scholarship offers, Koepka opted to stay close to home and chose Florida State. During his time as a Seminole, he was a three-time All-American, and he won three events.
His current caddie is Ricky Elliott, who has been with him for all of his four Major championship victories. Elliott was a promising golfer in his early days, winning multiple youth titles in Northern Ireland.
Brooks Koepka Family
Brooks is the son of Denise Jakows and Bob Koepka. He has a younger brother, Chase, who is also a professional golfer playing on the European Tour. His father was a college baseball player at West Virginia Wesleyan, who later learned golf, and passed it onto his sons. Legendary baseball player Dick Groat is Koepka's uncle.
He met his fiancee, Jena Sims at the 2015 Masters. Sims is an actress, appearing in movies like Last Vegas and American Beach House. She is also a former Miss Teen USA winner. The couple announced their engagement in April 2021.
Brooks Koepka Records
Following his 2017 and 2018 US Open wins and 2018 and 2019, PGA Championship wins, Koepka became the first-ever golfer to hold back-to-back titles in two majors simultaneously. Currently one of the best golfers in the world, only Phil Mickelson (5) and Tiger Woods (15) have more Major wins among active players. He is only the fifth golfer, behind Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods, to win the US Open and PGA Championship in the same year.
