He won his maiden ATP 250 title at the Croatia Open 2021 after defeating Richard Gasquet in straight sets.

Currently, the young Spaniard has an astounding net worth of $15 million, as estimated by several sources. As per ATP Tour, he has won over $15,536,017 in prize money from singles and doubles championships. At the age of 10, Alcaraz had attracted his first sponsor, Postres Reina, a packager of dairy desserts. As of now, he endorses Babolat and uses the Babolat Pure Aero racket for his matches.

Since his fairytale triumph at the US Open, Alcaraz has been a marketable individual for several major brands. Carlos Alcaraz is one of the youngest players to have signed a contract with Rolex, the Swiss luxury watch company. He also has a Nike sponsorship arrangement. Carlos Alcaraz formerly had a contract with the shoe brand Lotto but moved to Nike after breaking into the top 100. He partnered with Nike for his apparel and his shoes.

Alcaraz’s early life and family

Carlos Alcaraz Garfia was born in El Palmar, Murcia, Spain, on May 5, 2003, to parents Carlos Alcaraz González and Virginia Garfia Escandón. He began playing tennis at the age of three, encouraged by his father, an ardent tennis player and former top-40 player in Spain. His love for the sport increased rapidly, and he set lofty objectives to become one of the best.

He has three siblings, Alvaro, Sergio, and Jaime Alcaraz, who have shown an interest in tennis. Alcaraz began playing tennis at the Real Sociedad Club de Campo de Murcia, where his father was the director of the tennis academy. He started playing at Juan Carlos Ferrero's Equelite JC Ferrero Sports Academy in 2018.

Carlos Alcaraz has been a scintillating talent ever since he was in the junior circuit. He made his professional debut in 2020 at the Rio Open as a 16-year-old. His ruthless dominance has even prompted a Nadal comparison by many tennis personalities

At the age of 17, the Spaniard qualified for the main draw of the Australian Open 2020 - making him the youngest player in the draw. In 2021, he became the youngest player to win a match at the Mutua Madrid Open, breaking the 17 year record of his idol, Rafael Nadal. His performance in that season was still growing as he did not reach the final stages of any Master's events. But his efforts on the hard court helped him reach the quarterfinal of the US Open and launched him to rank 32 by the end of the year.  

After defeating Tsitsipas at the US Open 2021, he became the youngest player to defeat a top-3 player at the Grand Slam since computerized rankings were first introduced in 1973.

His career so far has made tennis fans confident about the game's future. 2022 has been his best season so far. He started the season off with an early exit in the Australian Open. However, mere months later, he managed to win two ATP 1000 tournaments in the Indian Wells Masters and the Madrid Open. 

Continuing the dominant display, Alcaraz won the US Open in September and received a heartwarming message from his idol. This win secured him a spot in the ATP Finals. However, he was unable to play due to an injury. His efforts launched him to rank 1, and he finished the year at the top of the ATP rankings.  

His 2023 season started off with inconsistencies as he was absent from the Australian Open due to a hamstring injury. He defended his Indian Wells title and even managed the 100th win of his career. In the clay-court season, he won the Barcelona Open for a second time and went on to lay claim to the Madrid Open as well.

His qualification in the 2020 Australian Open led to him becoming the youngest player to participate in the tournament. His win at the Mutua Madrid Open in 2020 made him the youngest player to win a match at the tournament.

When he defeated the World No.3 Stefanos Tsitsipas in the third round of the US Open 2021, Alcaraz became the youngest player to advance to the fourth round of the Grand Slam event since 1989.

Alcaraz’s girlfriend

Like several other personalities succeeding in their field, Alcaraz also gives importance to his personal life. He is currently rumored to be dating Maria Gonzalez Gimenez. There are no confirmed reports from the two stars about their rumored relationship. The rumors began when a picture of Alcaraz kissing Gimenez on the cheek was seen on his Instagram story.
