Till then found himself in a life-threatening altercation at a party. The Liverpudlian was stabbed in the back twice. This moment changed his life forever.

He traveled to Brazil to stay out of trouble and by the time he was seventeen, Till began his MMA training. After finding success in his amateur MMA career, he turned pro and racked up eight wins in 2013 alone.

Darren Till: UFC Career

In 2015, Darren Till received a call from the UFC and entered the company with a perfect 12-0 record. He won his first match against Wendell de Oliveira via a brutal TKO win in the second round. His next fight ended in a draw.

Till amassed a record of 17-0 before challenging the former welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley. Unfortunately for Till, he got knocked down by a huge right hand from Woodley and then got submitted via D'arce choke.

It was his first MMA defeat. He then fought Jorge Masvidal before moving to middleweight to fight Kelvin Gastelum. His last fight was against Robert Whittaker in 2020, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss.

Now, he will step inside the octagon against the #5 ranked middleweight contender, Derek Brunson, on September 4, 2021.

'The Gorilla' who walks out to Sweet Caroline, has put together a 6-3-1 UFC record.

Darren Till: Fighting Style

Till, one of the best elite strikers in the UFC, has claimed 10/18 wins by T/KO. Moreover, he has a great takedown defense (82%) to keep the fight standing.

Darren Till: Controversies

What followed was probably the darkest phase of Darren Till's life. The Brit allegedly vandalized a hotel room and stole a taxi on the Canary Islands.
