Joanna Jedrzejczyk 2022: Record, Net Worth, Salary and Endorsement

Joanna Jedrzejczyk was one of the most dominant UFC champions. She might be the most dangerous athlete now, but it was not always her goal. Born in Poland, Joanna took up fitness classes at 16. She then transitioned to Muay Thai and kickboxing.

In 2012, she made her professional MMA debut and disposed of her first three opponents in two rounds.

With an undefeated record of 6-0, Joanna made her UFC debut. As of May 2022, she is unranked in the UFC's rankings.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk: Record

She dominated Juliana Lima in her first UFC match. Her next match against Claudia Gadelha was rather controversial. Many believed that the Polish star lost the fight. Yet the judges granted Jedrzejczyk the split decision victory.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk then fought the former strawweight champion, Carla Esparza. The 'Boogeywoman' established her dominance early and tore apart the former champion. She made Esparza look like an amateur inside the cage. The referee had no option but to call off the fight in the second round.

Joanna destroyed her next five opponents and almost came close to breaking Ronda Rousey's record for most title defenses by a woman. Unfortunately, she lost her title when she attempted to defend it for the sixth time.

Going into the fight with Rose Namajunas, Joanna talked a lot of trash and possibly lost a couple of fans. Although she was a heavy favorite to win the fight, she was stopped in the very first round. It was her first-ever MMA loss. Joanna tried to reclaim the belt in her next fight, but was unsuccessful.

She returned to the win column after defeating Tecia Torres at UFC Fight Night: Alvarez vs. Poirier 2. After the win; the Pole fought one of the most dangerous fighters in the UFC, Valentina Shevchenko, for the vacant women's flyweight championship. However, she lost the bout via a unanimous decision.

Jedrzejczyk fought Michelle Waterson in 2019 and won the fight. What came after the Waterson fight was the blockbuster fight against former women's strawweight champion Zhang Weili for her title. The match was one of the most interesting fights in the UFC's history. However, Jedrzejczyk lost the fight via a split decision and left the octagon with a deformed face.

She holds a record of 10-4 in her UFC career.

She is now slated for a rematch against Weili at UFC 275: Teixeira vs. Prochazka.
