Joanna Jedrzejczyk: UFC Career

She dominated Juliana Lima in her first UFC match. Her next match against Claudia Gadelha was rather controversial. Many believed that the Polish star lost the fight. Yet the judges granted Jedrzejczyk the split decision victory. Joanna Jedrzejczyk then fought former strawweight champion, Carla Esparza. The 'Boogeywoman' established her dominance early and tore apart the former champion. She made Esparza look like an amateur inside the cage. The referee had no option but to call off the fight in the second round.

Joanna destroyed her next five opponents and almost came close to breaking Ronda Rousey's record for most title defenses by a woman. Unfortunately, she lost her title when she attempted to defend it for the sixth time.
