Kyle Edmund's best Grand Slam result came at the Australian Open 2018, reaching the semifinal of the first Major tournament of the season. He also grabbed his first top-10 victory over Grigor Dimitrov in the quarterfinals. Edmund became only the 6th British man to reach the semifinals of a Major.

Kyle Edmund also became the British No.1, replacing Andy Murray, who was holding that position since 2006. Later, Edmund grabbed his first ATP title at the European Open 2018.

Edmund made his Davis Cup debut at the 2015 final against Belgium. He became only the sixth man in the history of the Davis Cup to make his debut in the final. Great Britain also won the Davis Cup title for the first time since 1936.
