Lonzo Ball was born in Anaheim, California on October 27, 1997. He attended High School at Chino Hills and played won multiple awards at a national high school level.
He played a season of college basketball with the UCLA Bruins, where he earned the consensus first-team All-American honors. In 2017, Los Angeles Lakers drafted him with the second overall pick of the 2017 NBA draft. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2018 after a season hurdled with shoulder and knee injuries.
After the 2018/19 season, he was traded to New Orleans Pelicans in a deal that involved bringing Anthony Davis to the Lakers. Ball currently plays for the Pelicans.
