Rick Yutaka Fowler, popularly known as Rickie Fowler, is an American professional golfer. His middle name comes from his maternal grandfather, who is Japanese.

Fowler picked up the sport because of his grandfather, but later learnt more about it by himself, by practicing only on a driving range. After showing promise in high school, Fowler joined the Oklahoma State University in 2017, where he became a star with the Cowboys. His impressive performances helped him to represent the United States during the Walker Cup. He also won the 2008 Ben Hogan Award.

Fowler is still connected to his college, and dons orange in honor of them on the final day of a tournament. He has multiple tattoos which bear different meaning. He has one dedicated to his grandfather, the Olympics logo, and also one in honor of Georgia Veach, daughter of his friend who was diagnosed with lissencephaly.

Joe Skovron is Fowler's caddie, who has been with him since 2009 when he turned pro. Skovron is also a lifelong friend of Fowler, and played golf himself back in college.

Rickie was born to Rod Fowler, owner of a trucking company, and Lynn Fowler. He also has a sister, Taylor. Similar to Rickie, everyone in his family is an athlete. His parents often participate in bike riding games, and his mother has also won a 24-hour mountain bike race as part of a five-woman team. His father was a motocross racer who took his son with him often. And finally, his sister was also a golf player back in college.

Fowler is married to track and field amateur athlete Allison Stokke. The couple met back in 2017, and a year later they got engaged. Then in October 2019, Fowler and Stokke tied the knot in an intimate ceremony.

Rickie Fowler Endorsements

Fowler is famous for his endorsements. He partnered up with TaylorMade in January 2019 and is using their golf balls and glove since then. He is the Mercedes Benz global ambassador since 2016 after being their brand ambassador in the US since 2013. Fowler is also associated with other top companies like Cobra (Puma), Rocket Mortgage, and Farmers Insurance. He also had a famous "It's Good to be Rickie" commercial with Crowne Plaza Hotels.

Rickie Fowler Foundation and charity

He started the Rickie Fowler Foundation in 2011 to help provide aid for both Japanese and Native American communities. Their main focus is on widening educational opportunities surrounding for both communities and provides opportunities for at-risk youth. The foundation focuses on these communities because Fowler's mother is half Navajo and half Japanese.

Aside from the foundation, Fowler also participates in exhibition golf tournaments to raise funds for charity.
