Robert Whittaker: UFC Career
'Bobby Knuckles' started his UFC career as a contestant on the first series of The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes and won the welterweight competition. Whittaker went on to beat the likes of Colton Smith, Mike Rhodes, and Brad Scott.
'The Reaper' would eventually move up to middleweight and beat Uriah Hall, Rafael Natal, Derek Brunson, Jacare Souza and Ronaldo Souza. Later, at UFC 213, he became the interim champion after defeating Yoel Romero.
However, he became the undisputed middleweight champion since Georges St-Pierre left the UFC after capturing the title. 'The Reaper' had to let go of his title after Israel Adesanya finished him at UFC 243.
Since, he has bounced back with wins over Darren Till at UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs Till and Jared Cannonier at UFC 254.
'Bobby Knuckles' beat Kelvin Gastelum in his last fight at UFC Fight Night: Robert Whittaker vs Kelvin Gastelum to take his professional record to 23-5-0.
In February 2022, Robert Whittaker went up against Israel Adesanya once again at UFC 271: Robert Whittaker vs Israel Adesanya 2. However, he lost the bout via a unanimous decision.
He is slated to go up against middleweight contender Marvin Vettori in the co-main event of UFC Paris.
