At Wimbledon, he once again fell in the third round but went one better at the US Open.

Bautista Agut has amassed 9 ATP titles and has been in 7 other finals. He won the Rosmalen Championships and Stuttgart Open in 2014. Two years later, he won in Auckland and Sofia, before winning in Chennai and at Winston-Salem in 2017.

In 2018, though, he snatched victory in the Qatar Open, the Dubai Tennis Championships, and for the second time, the Auckland Open.

His best performance at a Major came at the Wimbledon Championships 2019, reaching the semifinals. In the same year, he also made the Australian Open quarter-finals.

His highest career ranking to date is no. 9.
