Tsitsipas was coached by his father, Apostolos Tsitsipas in his early days. However, in 2018, the Greek appointed Serena Williams‘ coach, Patrick Mouratoglou as his coach. Tennis has been in his blood as his mother, Julia Apostoli is a former WTA player and his father was trained as a tennis coach. His father is Greek and his mother is Russian. Tsitsipas is rumored to be dating his compatriot, Maria Sakkari.

On-court Achievements

Stefanos Tsitsipas best performance came at the Australian Open 2019, reaching the semifinals before losing to Rafael Nadal. In his course to the semifinals in Melbourne, he stunned Roger Federer in four sets in the fourth round. Tsitsipas became the youngest player to record four top ten wins in a single event at the Canadian Open 2018 as he reached the finals of the tournament. He has won four ATP singles title and reached eight finals.
