Haliburton is credited as an excellent facilitator, and his shooting game is right up there as well. The 20-year-old never shot below 50% in two years at college, which speaks volumes about his natural talent.?
He wasn?t a top recruit coming out of high school but excelled in college with his two-way skills, which makes him a rookie to watch out for.?
Tyrese Haliburton chose Iowa State University as his college destination, where he played for two years. He immediately found form as a freshman and put up a mammoth performance against the Southern Jaguars. Haliburton provided 17 assists in the game to shatter the University record.?
The talented guard scored a season-high of 25.0 points in sophomore year, and along with it came a number of assists and rebounds. Haliburton was also named to second-team All-Big 12 as a sophomore.?

Haliburton was projected to be a top 5 or a top 10 prospect. So when he fell out of the top 10, many were surprised. But the Sacramento Kings pounced on this opportunity and selected him with their 12th pick.

So far in the 2020-21 season, Haliburton has been one of the best rookies in the league. He has become a lethal option off the bench for the Kings and is averaging 12.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game. He is also shooting an impressive 49% from the field, and 44% from three.
If he continues this form, Haliburton could win Rookie of the Year.
Haliburton is expected to earn around $8 million from his rookie contract, and it could reach almost $18 million if the Kings choose to trigger the team option.
