In his fight against Colby Covington, Woodley ended up losing the bout via technical knockout at UFC Fight Night: Covington vs. Woodley. He suffered a rib injury in the final round of the bout. Now, the former champion is on a four-fight skid as he lost his last match to Vicente Luque at UFC 260 via submission (D'Arce Choke).

'The Chosen One' has put together a 17-7-1 record in his UFC and Strikeforce fights.

Tyron Woodley: Professional Boxing Debut

Before the Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren's main event took place, Woodley was involved in a backstage situation. 'The Chosen One' entered Paul's locker room as a spectator while Paul was getting his hand wrapped for his bout against Woodley's long–time teammate Ben Askren. The 'Problem Child' with his partner J'Leon Love started mocking Woodley while discussing the outcome of the bout.

After Paul defeated Askren via TKO in the first round, Woodley wasted no time and called out 'The Problem Child' for a boxing match, which Paul accepted with no hesitation. Now, Woodley will make his professional boxing debut against Jake Paul on August 29, 2021. The bout is scheduled for eight three minutes rounds in the cruiserweight division.
