He collected many titles along the way in his lengthy amateur career, including world championships and European championships. He is a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, having won the tournament in 2008 and 2012.

‘Loma’ turned pro in 2013 and was presented with a title fight straight away. He beat Jose Luis Ramirez to capture the WBO International featherweight title. He has not looked back since, despite facing two setbacks along the way.

2021 will be a career-defining year for the Ukrainian who has to rebuild his career following a loss to Teofimo Lopez. Many suspect he will move back down to super-featherweight.
