At 10, he took the next significant step in his gymnastics journey by enrolling at 5280 Gymnastics and received guidance from the Artemev family. This decision led to his triumphant performances at both state & regional levels. Along with this, he culminated in his remarkable achievement of securing a place at the age of 9 on the Junior National Team.

A Decorated Gymnastics Career

Over the past decade, Yul Moldauer has crafted a remarkable gymnastics career. Moldauer exhibited his talent by winning gold in the All-Around at the Junior Olympics National Championships in both 2010 and 2015.

During this period, he also secured silver medals in the All-Around in 2013 and 2014. As a high school senior, Moldauer was among the nation's top recruits and decided to enroll in the University of Oklahoma gymnastics program starting in the fall of 2015.

Post this, 2016 marked a significant turning point in the champ's career. He competed in every meet in 2016 and became only the second freshman in NCAA history to win the national title in the all-around. He added All-America status on the floor, parallel bars, and all around in his titles.

In 2017, the pivotal transition from junior to senior happened. It was the period when Moldauer's international debut took place. He became the NCAA champion on the floor exercise and rings, earning more success. Along with this, he clinched the all-around national title at the U.S. National Championships in August 2017 and tied for the gold medal with Eddie Penev on floor exercise..

In 2018 and 2019 when the athlete continued to excel, he secured his 2nd and 3rd consecutive American Cup all-around title and silver medals in the floor exercise and parallel bars at the U.S. National respectively.

In 2020, competing at the Winter Cup Challenge in Las Vegas, Moldauer displayed his versatility by winning gold on vault, bronze on parallel bars, fourth on pommel horse, and fifth all-around. His strong performance earned him a spot on the senior men's team.

With this, in 2021, the champion secured 1st place on parallel bars, placed third in the all-around, ranked third on floor, fourth on pommel horse, and fifth on still rings at the Winter Cup Challenge in Indianapolis. His stellar performance continued at the 2021 U.S. Gymnastics Championships in Fort Worth, Texas, and secured second place in the all-around, and earned third place on the floor and still rings.

The same year in November, Moldauer competed at the Arthur Gander Memorial. There he emerged as the winner of the four-event all-around competition, triumphing over Nikita Nagornyy in a tie-breaker.

Moldauer continued to make waves in gymnastics. At the 2022 Winter Cup, he secured fourth place in the all-around. He earned individual silver in the all-around while claiming gold on floor exercise, pommel horse, and parallel bars.

In August, he participated in the U.S. National Championships, finishing fifth in the all-around but ranking third on the pommel horse. Lastly, Moldauer was subsequently named the traveling alternate for the World Championships team in October.

In 2023 America's crush emerged victorious at the 2023 Winter Cup in February. During the 2023 World Championships, he became the oldest American male gymnast to secure a world medal in two decades, contributing to Team USA's bronze victory.
