The Canadian talent Felix Auger-Aliassime has completed his second straight season inside the Top 25. In both seasons, he remained unmoved from Number 21 in the world. However, the 21-year-old has moved on from Guillaume Marx, ending their 6-year coach-player relationship. Currently, he is associated with French coach Frederic Fontang.

Auger-Aliassime, alongside Polish No.1 Hubert Hurkacz, lifted the doubles title in Paris Bercy this year. The Canadian also appeared in three singles finals; however, he is yet to win his maiden ATP title. Out of the three, Felix lost two to Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Zverev in Marseille and Germany, respectively.

“Time to have new challenges”: Felix Auger-Aliassime
As the youngest player in the Top 25, the Canadian wants to start pushing the top gears. Therefore, his requirements from the new coach include a Grand Slam as a coach and a title as a player.
Felix said, “I’ve been thinking about it for a while. It was time for me to seek new advice and have new challenges to take me to the next level.”
Here are some of the Canadian’s next-level shots.
Apart from the three finals, Felix also defeated Former No. 1 Andy Murray in US Open 2020. In the next match, the Canadian lost to the eventual champion, Dominic Thiem. This has definitely helped him scale his potential better.
“I elevated my game and my maturity”: Auger-Aliassime
Even though the 2020 tour got cut in half, Felix participated in every tournament and maintained a 23-19 season. He also played the third-most matches in the whole year. Considering his aspirations, one can fairly expect something big from him in the coming season.

“To reach three finals, to win a big doubles title in Paris, and to reach the second week of a Grand Slam for the first time at the U.S. Open, these are positives. There were ups and downs but I got positive feedback from this year. Most importantly, I was happy with the way I elevated my game and my maturity, how I grew as a person,” said the Canadian professional.
Felix and the team want to concentrate on retrieving big points from Grand Slam tournaments next year. Having said that, the Canadian will also want to win his first ATP Tour title and end the finals’ curse. The takeaway is who will become the next coach of the bright and young Canadian talent.
