Tennis Fans Left Gutted After Roger Federer’s Sad Image at Paris Fashion Week

Tennis ace Roger Federer appeared at the Paris Fashion Week recently. Until Sunday, he was in Boston at the Laver Cup 2021. However, he did not compete in the event and instead went on the cheer the players competing. Since the Laver Cup is run by his management firm, TEAM8, it was a great gesture on the part of the Swiss maestro.

Recently, Roger Federer was spotted at the Dior event in Paris along with his wife, Mirka Federer. The fans went berserk as Federer is a global icon who draws eyeballs everywhere he goes. Some of them were glad to see him and found him to be as poised as ever. However, there were some set of fans who felt sad to see the 20-time Grand Slam as he was on crutches.

Seeing the Tennis ace on crutches immediately began to get a lot of clicks and retweets on social media. Fans were quick to speculate about the severity of Federer’s compromised state.

Roger Federer wasn’t at 100% during the 2021 season

Not long ago, Federer underwent his third knee surgery. He had told fans earlier that he would be away for a long time before he could begin competing in matches. However, he did reveal that he would be on crutches for a few weeks. He was spotted in Boston, moving around with the help of crutches and yet again in Paris.

Fans were clearly devastated to see Federer in a rather compromised position and their concern was heard throughout social media.

Roger Federer registered some shocking results this season

Coming back to tennis, Federer is expected to return in the next season. He played the French Open and came as far as the fourth round. It was his first Grand Slam event in over a year. After that, he was seen at the Wimbledon Championships. However, he did suffer a disappointment after crashing out in the quarterfinals.

He went down to Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz in straight sets, which did leave fans in shock. He wasn’t fully fit and one could sense it in his movements. Nonetheless, we hope to see him back to winning ways in the next year.
