Andy Murray ‘Pumped’ To Make a Return at US Open 2020 Says Feliciano Lopez

On Monday reports suggested that the US Open 2020 tournament will be taking place as per schedule. With that good news, the tournament might feature the former champion Andy Murray who has been training hard to get back in form. He hasn’t played a match in 2020 but concluded the 2019 season with a title in hand.
Despite the top players showing their disinterests towards the US Major’s occurrence this year, the organizers will be starting their event on August 31 and concluding it on September 13, 2020.

The Spaniard tennis star Feliciano Lopez revealed some positive news concerning the three-time Grand Slam champion Murray. He feels ‘pumped’ to play tennis and can handle playing five-set long tennis matches. Also when the tennis tour was initially called off the Brit was preparing to get ready for the French Open 2020.
“Actually two days ago I was talking to him, and he was really pumped about the US Open,” Lopez told journalists over during the Ultimate Tennis Event. “I asked about the hip, how it was feeling, and he was positive.”

Lopez sounded positive regarding Murray’s comeback at US open and he seems to be reaching the near-perfect form of fitness. “He might be able to compete again. I’m crossing my fingers to see Andy playing again, of course. It would be great for everybody, especially for him,” he added.
“He needs to wait a little bit to see how the hip is going to respond. But he was positive. He has started to play a little bit, and I think he’s really keen to play if the US Open is finally happening.”
