It was an unfortunate end for Krajinovic who did incredibly well to come back from 2 sets down. However, Medvedev held his nerve to qualify for the 4th Round at the Australian Open.
During the match, Medvedev’s coach left the stadium, a move that surprised fans and players alike. Daniil talked about this and said, “He said just before leaving that he’s sure I’m gonna win the match but he’s gonna leave me alone to be more calm.”
Well, Daniil’s coach was right, and the Russian is now going to face Mackenzie McDonald. Hopefully, he will beat him in straight sets soon enough.
