The game of tennis is now apparently incomplete without the mention of the Swiss maestro Roger Federer. Born in Basel town of Switzerland, the tennis great is highly responsible for popularizing the sport around the globe. However, beneath his 100 and more ATP titles and 20 Grand Slams, he is just another human being.

Recently, in an event with Chinese Tmall, the 39 years old Swiss star opened up on his relaxation routine. Federer, who is currently on a break from tennis due to knee surgery, is enjoying time with family.

“Chasing around my children”: Roger Federer

Federer’s versatility and ease on the court reflect in his real life. To answer what he does to relax himself, he gleefully said, “I was gonna say I am chasing around my children, but I am not sure if that’s relaxing.

As the face of tennis for more than a decade now, the current World No. 4 has taught the world about sportsman’s’ behavior. His humility and warm face have made him a greater person than a tennis legend.

But, it is his natural modesty that makes all the difference for him. He adds, “I still like to sleep, of course, or relax, and watch TV. I am still a guy who likes to put on the TV, kick his feet up, and maybe watch some sports.”

“Try different types of restaurants”: Swiss maestro Federer

Tennis is a traveling sport, and it demands a lot of time and commitment. Although, after being a tennis player for most of your life, it becomes your second nature. And, one as lucky as Federer has the family to travel alongside.

On the prevailing question, he adds, “And then, one thing I have always enjoyed ever since I came on the tour is to try different types of restaurants with my wife and with the friends that we have in those cities. I think this is a really nice way for me to unwind after a long busy day.”

Roger Federer will be back on the court in the 2021 season and hopefully play in the Australian Open.
