Novak Djokovic pulled off another masterclass this week in Rome. Winning his 36th ATP Masters Title, Djokovic proved once again why he is one of the greatest of the game. In his nail biter against Argentine Diego Schwartzman, Djokovic came back from behind to snatch a straight-set win.

Former tennis professional and coach Paul Annacone was one of the many who were mesmerized with Djokovic’s performance. Acknowledging his stellar performance, Paul was full of praise for the Serbian.

“He said it, Novak said it, this hasn’t been his best week. I think the key to all great players is to find ways to win when it’s not your best week. And that’s exactly what Novak Djokovic did. We saw it again today, coming back from 3-0, the first set double break, he continues to amaze,” he said.

“I mean his game is so efficient, he knows how to manage it. The only thing that would worry me a little bit is his frame of mind more than anything. Cause he seems pretty irritable. If I was him, I would take a couple of days away from tennis, just relax a little bit and get away with it and just recharge. Cause tennis is fine.”

Novak Djokovic is a strong contender for the Roland Garros

Novak Djokovic displayed some stunning game this year by winning 31 matches on a trot. His only loss came at the US Open quarter-finals, where he was defaulted.

Apart from the incident, his ship is sailing smoothly in the ocean of victories. While everyone expected the default to affect his performance, Djokovic stood firm to claim the Italian Open 2020, proving all his detractors wrong.
