The Greek star of tennis and World Number six Stefanos Tsitsipas majorly seeks his tennis lessons from his father Apostolos Tsitsipas. And since 2015 he has also been in affiliation with one of the best tennis coaches of the world, Patrick Mouratoglou.

With the Greek lad being a little emotional tennis player Mouratoglou reflected on his self-confidence, and he states Tsitsipas is ‘open with his emotions.’  He plays on the court by expressing all his feelings. Also, the top-ranked Greek tennis professional sometimes breaks down in the pressers after his painful losses.

“When I’m on a tennis court with him, you have no idea how much I enjoy myself. Because the way he plays tennis is just unbelievable. His personality is very different from anyone else,” Mouratoglou said.

“Stefanos Tsitsipas would cry in a press conference” – Mouratoglou

For instance, he couldn’t accept his round one loss at Wimbledon 2019 and broke into tears right after his loss. Also after playing a rollercoaster match against Stan Wawrinka in the quarters of French Open 2019 Stefanos was lamenting in the press conference room. All these emotions simply portray his profound love for the game and his peerless passion for his profession.

“He’s created his world and I love that he is extremely open with his emotions. He’s the type of guy who would cry in a press conference because he lost a match and he is completely OK with that,” he added.

“Some people think he shouldn’t cry, I think it is great. Share with the people [how you feel]. He’s so passionate and it is so important to him to win, he’s ambitious and he shows it.”

Stefanos Tsitsipas will be next seen in action at Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) starting on June 13, 2020. It an initiative that has been taken by Mouratoglou himself. Also, the objective of the tournament is to promote tennis on a global level.
