USA’s number one tennis player John Isner is gearing up for BNP Paribas Open 2020 in the Palm Springs, Indian Wells. And on the occasion of International Women’s Day Isner shared that his mother Karen Isner and wife Madison McKinley have been the pillars of his life.

“If I could talk about two, I would say my mother and my wife.  My mother has been a huge inspiration to me. She had a battle with cancer that she was able to fight through. I saw how tough it was for her to go through those times. But she persevered, and she’s in remission now,” John Isner shared.

Last year, his mother was battling cervical cancer and her illness had an adverse effect on their family. However, by god’s grace, she recovered from those adversities and revived her life.

After his mother’s recovery from the tragic phase of life motivated John Isner to launch Isner Family Foundation. The foundation provides world-class treatment to people suffering from their respective ailments. It has a collaboration with the hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in the US.

John Isner on his wife Madison McKinley

Isner continued to share the role of his wife Madison in his life. In October 2019 the couple welcomed their second child, John Hobbs Isner, and his elder daughter is named Hunter Grace Isner.

“And my beautiful wife, Maddie, the mother of my two kids, 13 months apart, so she’s been an absolute rockstar, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Those are the two people that I lean on most in my life,” he added.

On the ATP Tour, World Number 21 Isner reached the semifinals of Mexican Open 2020 in Acapulco and lost to compatriot Taylor Fritz. In Melbourne, he was forced to retire mid-match in the third round against Stan Wawrinka due to injury concerns.
