

The Serbian legend Novak Djokovic doesn’t seem to hang his tennis racquets anytime soon. Also, his triumphs on the Grand Slam courts do not seem to cease with his high-level tennis in all the matches he plays.
World Number one Djokovic has denied his age-old rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal numerous times from adding more Major titles to their name. Also, he’s one of the reasons why NextGen of tennis are failing to make their breakthrough on the Grand Slam stages.
17-time Major champion Djokovic revealed what motivates him to hit the ball harder and harder as the days pass. “First of all, I must say that I am in a very privileged position and role. Someone who has had a lot of success in globally popular sports, to say something that is heard far away,” Novak told Wish & Go Podcast.

“It’s like I have a megaphone in my hands. There aren’t many athletes in that privileged position. I’ve earned it with my success and I’m grateful for it. It’s one of the reasons why I still play professional sports.”

“The biggest reason is that I love it I like to compete, and the second biggest is because I feel that the terrain in me causes a storm of emotions, which I can not experience anywhere else in such a short period of time,” he said.

Novak Djokovic on his priorities besides tennis
Besides tennis and his peerless competitiveness on the professional tennis circuit, Novak is equally inclined towards the healthcare sector. He is very much involved and effectively uses his platform to spread awareness of mental and physical health.

Also, 33-year-old Novak ardently propagates the importance of education amongst children. And his foundation is proactively working to ensure the underprivileged kids are able to receive a quality education. “For me, besides sports, the most important topics are health and education,” he added.

In the year 2020, the Serb is yet to drop a singles match on the ATP Tour. Up next, Novak Djokovic will be seen swinging his racquet in the Adria Tour exhibition event in Belgrade, Serbia.
