World Number one Novak Djokovic spent time in Marbella, Spain throughout the prolonged lockdowns. Presently, the nation has permitted their athletes to train by themselves, but the use of professional sports facilities is forbidden this week.
Despite the probation, on Tuesday, Djokovic used the tennis court at the Marbella Club in Spain. And that act from the Serbian was perceived as a violation of the lockdown regulations. Soon after, the Spanish club mentioned granting permission to Djokovic to train.
In Spain, professional athletes are allowed to commence their training after May 11, 2020. Following the miscommunication, the Spanish club apologized to the Serbian legend Djokovic.

“We understood that professional athletes were able to train and authorized Mr. Djokovic to use our facilities. After speaking with the tennis federation they made it clear to us he had to wait until 11 May to use the tennis club,” the club stated.

“We shared this clarification with Mr. Djokovic and both parties have agreed to restart training from that day. We regret that our misinterpretation of the rules may have inconvenienced Mr. Djokovic in good faith.”
Djokovic hasn’t played any tennis since the cancelation of Indian Wells in March. The Serb hasn’t dropped any singles match on the ATP circuit in 2020, winning the ATP Cup, Australian Open, and the title in Dubai.
