“That’s a Shame!” – Novak Djokovic’s Event Trolls Patrick Mouratoglou’s Showdown

The day one at Adria Tour in Serbia was a successful one with  Novak DjokovicDominic Thiem, and Alexander Zverev having their matches. But unfortunately, wherein Stefanos Tsitsipas and Matteo Berrettini are competing in Patrick Mouratoglou’s event Ultimate Tennis Showdown, the matches were canceled due to the irruption of play by rain.

UTS team post on their social media and informed the audience that they have postponed their day one to Sunday, and following that Novak Djokovic’s event Adria Tour took a dig at UTS.

“That’s a shame!! The format was exciting and the venue perfect! Oh well. For those for craving tennis, tune in to the Adria Tour today, featuring Djokovic, Thiem, and Zverev. It’s live on Eurosport and Tennis Channel,” Adria Tour tweeted.

On Saturday, at Adria Tour, the Serbian legend Djokovic defeated his compatriot Victor Troicki  4-1, 4-1. Also, he made a ball kid’s day by hitting a few balls against him.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic in Belgrade, Serbia the stadium was brimmed with tennis fans as the got to watch some LIVE tennis action. World Number Djokovic defended the crowd and clearly stated they are not doing anything against the measures laid down by the government.

“We have different circumstances and measures. So it’s very difficult to think of international standards,” he said.

You can also criticize us and say this is maybe dangerous. But it’s not up to me to make the calls about what is right or wrong for health. We are doing what the Serbian government is telling us. Hopefully, we soon will get back on tour collectively.”

The exhibition event of the Adria Tour will consist of matches all over Serbia for the next three weeks, and players will be traveling to each destination.
