His slam total extends to number 17 at Australian Open 2020 and he stays on the third spot on the list of all-time Grand Slam leaders, behind Roger Federer (20) and Rafael Nadal (19). After taking the first set Novak Djokovic was given two time-violations and that had a huge impact on his play. He dropped six games in a row and consequently trailed by two sets to one in the championship match. With great mental toughness and determination, Novak Djokovic inched closer towards his 17th Grand Slam title after playing four hours of incessant tennis. The early break in the final set aided the Serb to clinch a 4-6, 6-4, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 on the Rod Laver Arena.
