World Number eight Serena Williams pulled off a breathtaking win against Greece’s Maria Sakkari during the pre-quarterfinals of US Open 2020. She knocked her out 6-3, 6-7, 6-3, and reserved a historic 53rd Major quarterfinal spot in her career.

Simultaneously, she also attained her 100th win at the Arthur Ashe Stadium. She’s the only tennis player to claim 100 wins on Ashe in the era of modern tennis.
After her historic win, Williams was asked about her thoughts on Novak Djokovic’s disqualification from US Open 2020 after he accidentally hit a ball on the line judge’s throat during his fourth-round match. Serena revealed her thoughts on the controversial decision.

The American legend acknowledged that she knew about the matter but she refused to open up on the same. “Yeah, you know, I’m not going to touch that. I’m going to leave that to you guys. I’m just not touching it,” she said.

Then, a few minutes later, another reporter touched upon the same topic, and yet again, her answer was the same. “So, yeah, Mark, I already said I’m not going to touch that. I’m going to leave that to you guys. Good try, though (smiling),” she added.
