Tunisian player Ons Jabeur recently defeated Nao Hibino, 7-6, 6-4, in the second round of the French Open 2020. The 26-year-old said in the post-match press conference that inspiration from players like Rafael Nadal helped her in adapting to the new conditions at Roland Garros.

Asked about her initial thought after seeing the slower conditions, Jabeur replied that at first, she was certainly doubtful about the need to play.

“To be honest, I was like, why are we playing? I was looking at how Rafa [Rafael Nadal] was taking the whole situation. I have a very positive team behind me. They always like pushing me,” said the Tunisian.
