Coming back to Kyrgios, the Australian began his season at the ATP Cup. He had a decent performance before falling short in the semi-final. He then went to Melbourne for the first major of the season and beat Russia’s Karen Khachanov in a 5-set thriller. Eventually, he fell victim to Rafa in the fourth-round. He ended his season soon after due to a wrist injury.
