Within a span of 2 minutes, Kyrgios called the umpire Marijana Veljović ‘bro’ and ‘dude’. He also shouted at her and said, “You don’t understand! It’s fucking 1-all in the fifth set! It’s ruining the match!” Luckily, he wasn’t punished for this.

Despite all of these controversies, Kyrgios played a fantastic match. He came back from 2 sets to 1 to win the match 5-7, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6, 6-4. Throughout the battle, he had the support of the Aussie crowd and he was surely happy about it.

Now, the Australian has gotten into the third round where he will face Austrian Dominic Thiem. They both have faced each other only once and in that meeting, Kyrgios was unfortunately forced to retire.

Both players are incredibly talented, which is why it is hard to predict who will end up winning. However, one thing’s for sure – fans are going to see an amazing match the day after tomorrow.
