Throughout his career, Nick Kyrgios has been known to play some very unconventional shots. He did not fail to produce some of those in his match against Humbert. Here’s a video of him casually volleying from the baseline – something you will rarely ever see.

Controversies

In a lot of his matches, Kyrgios has also gotten into a lot of controversies. This match was no different as the Australian was at odds with the umpire in the fifth set.

Within a span of 2 minutes, Kyrgios called the umpire Marijana Veljović ‘bro’ and ‘dude’. He also shouted at her and said, “You don’t understand! It’s fucking 1-all in the fifth set! It’s ruining the match!” Luckily, he wasn’t punished for this.
