Emma spoke on her meeting with Hamilton and stated, “No definitely not. I am rooting for Lewis in the race. He’s been such a good role model for me in terms of helping me out and through these next stages. He’s a really cool person. He’s just been really cool in helping me.”

She remembered interacting with him at the Met Gala, which took place soon after the US Open. After their conversation, the teenager began looking up to him.

The 19-year-old added, “He said, like, be patient. You know, you just got to ride the wave, it’s all good, like, don’t worry. Good reassurance. I met him in person at the Met Gala and we had a really good conversation there and, and since then, I’ve just been looking up to him, following him and supporting him.”

After winning the US Open, things have not gone as per her wishes. She crashed out of the opening round at the Indian Wells. Prior to that, she fired her coach and appointed a new one.

We wish her all the best for the 2022 season. All eyes will be on her when she steps on the court once again.
