Serena Williams played some incredible tennis in her second-round match, demolishing her opponent 6-2 6-4 but sadly, there were no spectators to appreciate her stunning performance.

This is why, in the post-match interview, Serena was asked about her thoughts on the fan-less policy. She replied by saying,

“I love the crowd here obviously. But, it’s something cool, I have been playing so long, I now play in the modern era where there’s no crowd, it’s all digital. But, it’s something kind of calming about it, it’s just a little more calming I think.”

The record is currently held by Margaret Court with 24, and the American star can equal it by winning one more Slam. However, that one Major has eluded her over the years.

Since then, she has reached 4 Grand Slam finals and sadly, she has lost all of them to some of the younger players on the Tour. However, the American star is going to make sure that she doesn’t suffer the same fate this time.

After losing so many finals, Serena is more motivated than ever to win another Slam. She wants to cement her position as the G.O.A.T. of tennis and she will take another step towards that goal when she plays compatriot Sloane Stephens in the third round.
