Daniil Medvedev has earned quite a name after his recent success at the ATP Finals 2020. From tennis players to fans of almost every sport, all have been really impressed by the World No.4 player. Recently, tennis player cum politician, Marat Safin, praised the Russian player for his incredible technique.

“Medvedev has an interesting technique. He knows what to do, you have to fight with him. At the ATP Cup, they scolded me, cursed me. His coach is a great guy,” said Safin in a recent interview.

The 2-time Grand Slam winner was clearly very happy with Medvedev’s fighting ability. He believed that he had a unique technique and others had to fight hard to win against him. The Russian politician also appreciated his coach Gilles Cervara and said that he was a great person.

Apart from talking about his gameplay, Safin also praised Medvedev for having control over his emotions. He believed that the fellow Russian set up an example after the ATP Finals.

“A person grows, grows wiser, and understands what things need to be removed. From my own experience. That doesn’t mean he has to be a seal or a cyborg. Medvedev is working to the limit. You need to be able to manage emotions,” added the former World No.1 Safin.

“Tim is an Austrian, everything is clear, everything is laid out on the shelves. Khachanov can gouge a racket, Rublev can win and then throw balls, Medvedev can hit the tower with a racket,” concluded Safin.

Height is definitely an extra advantage for Daniil Medvedev. Experts believe that it helps him to serve better. In the recently concluded ATP Finals, the Russian delivered 43 aces while his opponents could only hit 14 in all the 5 matches.

Medvedev ended the 2020 tennis season on a great high, winning the Paris Bercy and the ATP Finals. Fans certainly have huge expectations from him and want him to win his maiden Grand Slam title in the upcoming season.
