Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova have represented tennis
Over the years, Williams and Sharapova have been involved in several matches. However, their first meeting was a memorable match. It was at the Wimbledon Championships in 2004, when a 17-year-old Maria knocked out the former World No.1 Serena Williams in the final.
Unfortunately, after that meeting, the Russian tennis star never registered a win against the dominant American legend. In 2020, Sharapova called it a day. However, she is still fond of the sport and was last seen attending the men’s final between Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev in New York last week. It was great for fans to see these two rivals bond during their time off the tennis courts.
"I miss tennis magazine ever since it folded. I played tennis most of my life but now at 86 I no longer can afford to even watch all the matches because of the expensive TV tennis channels so you're a great resource
Thanks 😊"
