Rightfully so, the Spaniard deserves all the credit after he successfully won his 13th Roland Garros title at the French Open 2020. What was phenomenal about his performance was that Rafa did not even lose a single set in the whole tournament. The latest to join the appreciation squad is the Russian player Daria Kasatkina.
Speaking about Nadal’s success at the French Open 2020, she said that it was a proud moment for her. It was as if she celebrated along with Nadal, having tears in her eyes.

“I was crying with him while he was staying with the cup. The tears were falling from his eyes, it was very sweet. It’s like he’s winning 13 Roland Garros, 20 Grand Slams,” said Kasatkina.
It was the 20th Grand Slam title for Nadal. Surely, it was a historic moment. Kasatkina said that it was a really sweet gesture from Nadal when he started crying after lifting the title in Paris.

Kasatkina could feel what the 13th Grand Slam must have meant for Rafa. She believed that Nadal’s gestures and emotions were evident of what the title meant to him.

“It still means so much to him and this is the real love to the sport, I think,” acknowledged the 23-year-old Kasatkina.
Kasatkina really appreciated Nadal’s love for the sport. Rafa is surely an inspiration for many youngsters and contemporary players. He has truly established himself as an ambassador of the sport.

Daria Kasatkina is currently playing at the Ostrava Open 2020. She will face Jennifer Brady tomorrow in the Round of 16. She was unfortunate at the Italian Open 2020 where she suffered an injury in her match against Victoria Azarenka. After this, she withdrew from the tournament.
On the other hand, Nadal will most likely play at the Rolex Paris Masters 2020. However, there are speculations over Nadal whether he would play at the Vienna Open 2020 or not.
