23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle have been good friends, and recently Markle moved to Williams’ home country.

Markle and her husband Prince Harry walked away from the royal family in the United Kingdom, they initially moved to Canada and then flew to Los Angeles, California.

She was seen cheering for Serena during the US Open 2019 finals while sitting in her box. Also, the American attended the Royal wedding in 2018.

On Tuesday, Serena featured on the web show No Filter with Naomi by model Naomi Campbell along with her elder sister Venus. Therein Williams was asked about Markle’s move to the US.

“Are you happy that your girlfriend’s moved to America?” Naomi asked. Williams seemed incurious to address her friend’s recent shifting to North America and she gave a cheeky reply. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” 38-year-old replied.

Later Naomi backed up her question and continued saying, “I mean, they’re on the west coast.” Serena pretended about not knowing her and said, “never seen her. Never heard of her. Don’t know her.”

During the conversation with Campbell, Williams shared about Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour. “You know she’s a special person, and I absolutely completely adore her. And I love being around her. First of all, she’s like, ‘you’re not getting this without me’ and I’m like ‘OK’”

Wintour also designed her wedding dress when Williams got married to Alexis Ohanian in 2017.

“Every single sketch and design we sent to her and she gave great feedback, and I’m like ‘Oh my god you’re so right, that would be really cool and really good’. It was really, really awesome,” she said.
